Last Saturday in Socal, Pre won best of breed in lure coursing to finish his AKC LCX6 title! He is the only Ibizan hound in history to achieve this title. He punctuated his accomplishment Saturday in true Prefontaine fashion by winning his 14th Best In Field!

Pre won BOB at the AKC Socal Ibizan Hound club Lure Coursing Specialty!
The entire gang ran great in specials stake placing 1st-4th! (Pre 1st, Puck 2nd, Risa 3rd, Carmen 4th). The following day at the SCIHC Ibizan Conformation Specialties, Pre won select dog in both the morning and afternoon specialties!! Over the weekend, at the Silverado Hound Classic, Pre won select dog on Saturday and BOS on Sunday. A fun-filled and successful week!
Pre won Award of Merit in the AM & PM specialties! Even more awesome, Risa and Pre won Best in Brace in both Specialty shows!!! They were totally in sync and showed great together! After the shows, the hounds at Hart had fantastic results in AKC Ibizan Specialty coursing.. In specials stake Pre was 1st, Risa 2nd, Puck 3rd, & Carmen 4th 🤩.... then Pre won Best in Specialty Coursing!!! Goooooo Pre!!
Prefontaine (BISS MBIF GCh DC Loco Motion’s Dare to Prevail with Hart MC LCX) finished #1 AKC LURE COURSING IBIZAN IN THE UNITED STATES IN 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pre never ceased to amaze this year. He qualified to start his coursing career in January and went on to win 8 Best In Fields, a Specialty BOB, and the SoCal Cup. He ran in trials hosted by five different clubs across four states! I am in awe at his consistency and pure athletic ability on the field. Thank you to all the judges who recognized Pre’s talent on the coursing field.
All 4 of my pups finished in the Top 10 for AKC Lure Coursing in 2017! I love that they all are competitive and push each other to chase the bunny!!
- Risa (BISS MBIF GChB Kamar’s Final Laugh MC LCX3) finished #3 in AKC Lure Coursing. Since her debut on the coursing field, she was ranked #3 in 2015, #1 in 2016, and #3 in 2017!
- Carmen (MBIF GChB Timberwind’s Habanera de Carmencita MC LCX) finished #6 in AKC Lure Coursing and continues to have fantastic follow and a drive that the younger pups feed off of on the field!
-Puck (DC Orion’s LA King of Hart SC) finished #8 in AKC Lure Coursing which is a huge accomplishment considering he was not old enough to course until May and went on to earn his Field Championship and rank in the top 10! He is a force to watch on the field this coming year for sure!
It was a monumental year for the hounds at Hart and I feel fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and athletic pack!
Pre and Puck both ran great against tough competition at the January DFB Lure Coursing. Both Saturday & Sunday Pre won specials and BOB! Puck came in very close 2nd in specials both days & made his brother work for it. Pre went on to win his 9th BEST IN FIELD! GOOO PRE!
2018 started with some huge success in the show ring at the Inland Empire/Palm Springs Shows! At the Inland Empire Hound Specialty, Puck won winners dog & showed like a rockstar. And...(drumroll) Pre won Best of Breed over a nice entry handled received excellent comments from well-respected Breeder-Judge Rudi Brandt afterwards. Puck finished his Championship with PIZZAZ! He won Best of Winners AND Best of Opposite over the specials at the Palm Springs Show!

And that is exactly what Prefontaine the Ibizan did today! The Socal Cup is a beast of an event. The top 3 socal cup qualifiers from each breed run an 1100 yard course on challenging terrain for two breed runs, semifinals, and finals. Pre was really an awesome force on the field and gave it his all to WIN THE SOCAL CUP 2017!!!

Pre wins his 8th Best in Field in AKC Lure Coursing this year at the Desert Fun Bunch Trial!!
Pre won BOB back-to-back Sat/Sun in the Sooner Circuit show at Chickasha, OK under judges Ms. Mounce and and Ms. Purkhiser!
Prefontaine also won BOB in the in the concurrent lure coursing trial both days and went on to win Best in Field BOTH DAYS for his 6th and 7th Best in Field!!!! Thank you to judges Jack Downing and Alexandra Moore and the Tulsa Sighthound Association!!!!

Thursday at the SCIHC AKC Ibizan Specialty Lure Coursing, Pre won Best of Breed! Carmen gave him a run for his money but ended up going 2nd in special stakes (way to keep on keepin' on Carmencita!). Pre and Risa won kennel stakes. Nice entry of running beezers and the pups had a blast!
At the show, in addition to Risa's BISS win...Puck (Orion's LA King of Hart) won winners dog for his second major!! Pre won select dog expertly handled by his peep-eating BFF Libbie Flanagan! Sunday at the supported entry Silverado Hound Specialty, Pre won BOS to finish his GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP(BISS GCh Loco Motions Dare to Prevail with Hart)!! Pre and Risa won best brace in breed and brace group 3 on Sunday as well. Overall, an amazing and fun-filled weekend!
Pre won his 2nd and 3rd Best in Fields over 70 dogs each day in Southern California! And with the 5pt major on Saturday, he finished his field championship!!!! Thank you to judges Rosemary Marnoch and John Arvin!
